Millennium Park in Fallon decorated with purple bows and the Clothesline Project during the month of October. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

You may have noticed the clothesline at Millennium Park on Williams Avenue. The clothesline project was created to bring awareness to the issues of domestic violence for women and men who have been affected, and a means of expressing emotions by decorating a t-shirt. The intention of the display is to honor survivors and act as a memorial for victims. It is also intended to aid in the healing process for those who have been directly affected and those who have lost someone special to violence. The City of Fallon is working with the Domestic Violence Intervention office in Fallon to help educate the community and promote awareness. During the month of October, please join our community in wearing or displaying purple to raise awareness about the importance of preventing domestic violence.
